Musical Theater Jazz Dance

This beginner level class is a great way to introduce the spectacular style of musical theater jazz dance.  Students will learn tactical dance skills, choreography, and perform a 'staged' routine at the end of the 6 week course.  In addition, students may learn a variety of theater focused skills that may include soft shoe tap, stage directions, body percussion, use of props, and simple partner or ensemble choreography.  All abilities and experience levels are encouraged to attend and proper footwear is required (jazz slip on or lace up shoes)

• Starts: 23 January - 27 February 2025

• Practices are held Thursday evenings.

3^rd - 5^th Grade Students:

• 6 weeks Musical Theater Jazz Dance held at McConnell Youth Center
• Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• 60-minute sessions that meet once per week
• Beginner Level (all levels welcome)
