Project Share's Mission is to reduce food insecurity for neighbors in the greater Carlisle area by offering access to nutritious food, programs, and a support network that promotes self-sufficiency, fosters dignity, and instills hope.
Our vision at Project SHARE is "Nourishing our Community...Awakening Hope." In line with this vision, we are asking for the following nutritious items to be donated.
Food items being collected:
-
Pantry Staples: cooking oils, vinegars, spices, sauces (tomato), peanut butter, shelf stable milk, 100% fruit juice, etc...
-
Healthy Snacks: nuts, popcorn, whole wheat crackers, applesauce, etc...
-
Cans: meats, (tuna, chicken, salmon), low sodium vegetables, low sodium beans, fruit (in 100% juice), soup (less then 600 mg sodium), etc...
-
Whole Grain Staples: brown rice, oatmeal, whole wheat pasta, etc...
-
Condiments: mustard, ketchup, mayo, etc...
For the health of our community, we discourage donations of candy, baking mixes, high sugar cereals, high sodium soups and prepackaged boxed meals
