"My Next Move" Career Exploration

A fun, interactive two-hour workshop that guides participants to use Department of Labor online resources to explore career opportunities. Trained facilitators assist participants in using labor market information research to focus on interests that could lead to an exciting career path! Additionally, developing a job search plan based on their interests and employment skills.
LinkedIn Profiles

This two-hour workshop walks participants through building their LinkedIn profiles. Participants learn how to create a profile that markets their professional brand, uses keywords to attract recruiters, and utilizes LinkedIn for skill endorsements and recommendations from their networks. This workshop is a prerequisite for the LinkedIn Job Search workshop 27 JAN 2026.

This two-hour workshop offers insider knowledge to utilize LinkedIn's job search features. Participants learn how to set job alerts, connect with new people, join groups, and follow organizations to grow their networks. This workshop also shares a rare sneak peek into the recruiter's view on LinkedIn, providing invaluable insight into best practices for finding job opportunities on LinkedIn.

Preparation is key for a great job interview. This two-hour workshop provides tips and coaching for job interviews and handling those hard-to-answer questions.
Federal Employment for Spouses
17 March • 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
In this three-hour workshop tailored for military spouses, expect to:
1) learn important facts about the federal hiring process, particularly special categories for military spouse hiring;
2) know how to focus on and respond to the most important information in a federal job description; and
3) better understand how to tailor your resume to the job announcement for the federal job you seek.
Salary Negotiation
14 April • 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
This two-hour workshop explains basic knowledge for salary, compensation, job offers and negotiation skills. Included exercises and resources will help you understand and communicate your worth to your next employer.
