Army Family Action Plan (AFAP)

What is AFAP?

The Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) is your platform to voice quality-of-life issues, feedback, ideas, and suggestions. It’s the best way to let Army leadership know about what works, what doesn’t, and how you think problems can be resolved. If you have an issue that is bigger than an ICE comment, and may be an Army wide problem, consider an AFAP submission. AFAP issues have resulted in many quality-of-life enhancements over the years including:

  • Soldier paternity leave
  • Military Thrift Savings Plan
  • Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008
  • Distributed Soldier Montgomery GI Bill benefits to dependents
  • Extended educational benefits for spouses
  • And many more.

AFAP issues can be submitted online via the Army Family Web Portal’s Issue Management System or by filling out an AFAP card and submit AFAP form to Carlisle Barracks Army Community Service office.
