Army Emergency Relief (AER) has provided over $2 billion in assistance since 1942 (with more than $1 billion since 9/11). In 2024, Carlisle Barracks Army Emergency Relief (AER) provided over $90,000 in emergency loans and grants to eligible Soldiers, Retirees, and Surviving Spouses. AER runs an annual fundraising campaign each year. This campaign aims to improve awareness of the financial assistance available through AER and fulfill an Army core value of Soldiers supporting each other in a time of need.
