Jim Thorpe Fitness Center

Jim Thorpe Fitness Center offers group classes, indoor track, cardio and weight equipment.  First time users can create an online account on WebTrac, obtain a free gym membership and purchase fitness class pass packages on Webtrac or by visiting the desk staff. Reserve tennis courts on WebTrac. 

1st Floor

The first floor of the facility is a Physical Resiliency and Functional Conditioning area and is designed for training that incorporates agility, sprints, jumps and dynamic strength training movements. There are 10 modular training stations, standardized weight plates and space to perform full body movements. An area of cardio equipment is located behind the conditioning area.  Body Blast and Performance Fitness classes also utilize the 1st floor equipment. Reservations not required for fitness classes, but please arrive 10 min early to purchase class pass.

2nd Floor

The second floor offers an indoor track and a group fitness room dedicated to TRX and Combatives training. Reservations not required for fitness classes, but please arrive 10 min early to purchase class pass.

3rd Floor

The third floor is the main group fitness room where yoga, Zumba, kickboxing and other classes are offered. Resistance bands, BOSU and physio balls, dumbells, mats and more are available for use. Reservations not required for fitness classes, but please arrive 10 min early to purchase class pass.

  • PRECOR elliptical cross trainers
  • Treadmills
  • Versa climbers
  • Stairmasters

  • Stationary bicycles
  • Assortment of Cybex power stations

Weight Training Equipment

  • LifeFitness benches
  • Cross-over Smith machine
  • Free weights

Fitness Policy

  • Street shoes and/or casual footwear are not allowed
  • Shoes designed for the particular sports you are participating in, or all-purpose sneakes or athletic shoes are acceptable footwear
  • Use of the tennis courts requires appropriate tennis shoes be worn
  • Return equipment and weights to proper storage positions when finished
  • Properly clean and wipe down equipment within 2 minutes of vacating machine or equipment
  • Do not "unblock" equipment that has been blocked off in accordance with Fitness Center Rules and within the Standards of Conduct and Discipline
  • 24/7 access for Active Duty or DES Responders after they complete a signed wavier at the Jim Thorpe Fitness Facility front desk
  • Keep trash and equipment picked up around and inside the facility

WebTrac:

Create an online account, add a free fitness facility membership to your account, purchase passes for fitness classes, request a locker and more at WebTrac. Once logged in, click on Thorpe Hall and see all of our online options.

Emergency:

Call 911 in case of emergency –phone, first aid kit and AED are located at the front desk
